Tower, the must-have app for Git management
Any developer knows that Git is where it’s at when it comes to code management. I always use Git for managing the fun little projects I work on, but often forget the command line actions. If you have the same problem as me, Tower may be the perfect solution for you!
Tower is a Git GUI for Mac. Git also put out their own Git GUI application, but I have found that Tower is more in-depth with features. Tower allows you to manage your repositories, view the status of files and if they have been modified, allows you to manage branches, tags and remote repositories, see a history of commits, and see what has been edited in on each file.
Tower also has some good features for integrating with your favorite text editors such as TextMate, BBEdit, TextWrangler and Coda. It even supports full screen mode on OS X 10.7!
Tower is the power house when it comes to Git clients for the Mac, don’t let this one slip by you! If you use Git for code management, be sure to check out Tower. You can get a free 30-day trial, so go try it out!
