RHA MA450i Noise Isolating In-ear Headphones with Microphone
I’m going to be honest, there are not a lot of good quality headphones out there on the market, not unless you spend a substantial portion of cash at least. That is why I was a little bit dubious about checking out the RHA MA450i Headphones. The main reason for this is that I was a little dubious about scoring headphones that actually last at this sort of price. I was however going to try them out. I am glad I did, these are some really fine headphones.
The main idea behind the RHA MA450i Headphones is that they isolate sounds and provide an incredibly comfortable listening experience. Like most headphones of this style nowadays, you are supplied with a number of shaped ear buds to fit your own ear size. In my opinion, these actually work pretty well. I know on some of the other headphones out there, even with a plethora of options to choose from when it comes to ear buds, you are never going to find one that fits. However, that isn’t the case with the RHA MA450i, a small point, but a plus point!
The special thing about these headphones however is the fact that they are built to last. All of the vital components are enclosed in aircraft-grade aluminium that ensures the highest levels of protection, whilst also being lightweight. In addition to this, it is finished off with a beautiful scratch-resistant finish that stops them becoming a bit repulsive in the looks department after a number of uses. The best feature however is a reinforced copper cable and that seems incredibly reluctant to tangle, and believe me, that is very useful (many headphones make this claim, and yet the RHA is the only one I have seen actually make good on it).
So what about the features? Well, these RHA MA450i headphones have been designed especially for use with the iPhone devices. This means that built into the line they have controls which allow you to take control of your music. In addition to this, they have an inbuilt microphone that means you can take calls, hands free, whilst out and about.
The sound quality on these headphones is absolutely stunning. To start with, the noise isolation works without needing batteries (and that is always a plus point), and with a gold plated connector you can ensure the highest quality of sound. The whole system is run 2 x 10mm drivers with a frequency response of 16 Hz and an impedance of 16 ohms. If that is ‘foreign’ to you, it basically means that it is good.
So is the RHA MA450i worth a purchase? Yes it is. Purchase these headphones and they are going to last you an incredibly long time. The addition of the microphone and the controls inline help to make this purchase absolutely fabulous. Pick these up before you look at any other headphones, don’t be put off by the price, despite the ‘cheap cost’, they are still a pretty worthwhile bit of gear.
