Big News Tuesday: iPhone 5 Front Panel leaks and more!

Big News Tuesday: iPhone 5 Front Panel leaks and more!

There was nothing special about Tuesday May 22nd 2012, until the iPhone leaks started. Writing a post about iPhone leaks is no biggie, so why not add more to it? Read on to hear all the details that happened in the land of Apple today.

First off, the iPhone leaks. The iPhone leaks are inevitably going to happen. Whether its a prototype that was found out in the wild or just pictures of upcoming iPhone model parts, it’s going to happen. Well that is what happened today. A picture of the supposedly “taller” iPhone 5 front panel has leaked out into the public. MacRumors of course broke the news to the world. The report also states:

it is not entirely clear how to mesh recent claims of a 3.95-inch display with this measurement of 4.1 inches and The Wall Street Journal‘s claim of “at least four inches”, but all of the reports are in the same general size range.

The report also mentions that Apple would use the same parts for the iPod Touch line as well. In the past several parts have surfaced prior to a new “upgraded” device. While some may seem real, others are phony, so take this news with a grain of salt, if you will.

Also today was the release of the updated Hulu+ app for iPad. The update includes retina display graphics and “better Airplay mirroring” for iPad 2 and iPhone 4S and up. Be sure to grab it as Hulu+ is thoroughly loved by the Geeks Union staff!

Also today, Apple released a Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3.13 for 10.6.8 and OS X Lion and above. The update “adds RAW image compatibility for the following cameras to Aperture 3 and iPhoto ’11:  Canon EOS-1D X, Nikon D800E, Nikon D3200, Olympus OM-D E-M5, Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GF5 and Sony Alpha SLT-A57.” The update is 8MB of awesome goodness for those that have had problems with the previously mentioned cameras.

Well that’s all folks, make sure to grab those updates and watch out for the latest iPhone rumors!

Hopefully Apple products will continue to improve with all of these updates and innovations.  I have found myself rather disappointed on more than one occasion.
