I thought university students got discounts on Apple products anyway? I remember when I bought my iBook years ago, I was a post-grad student then. Currently I work in a company where employees get up to 17% off on Apple products.

Apple Back To School Program
We have just learned that Apple is launching it’s annual back to school program tomorrow.
This year like last year students can receive a $100 iTunes gift card with qualifying purchase of a Apple Computer, and a $50 iTunes gift card with qualifying iPad purchase.
This is more than speculation however we cannot confirm this until the program launches.

I remember that they had a flat 15% off on all Apple products going on a couple of years back. I wish they would have something like that, instead of having gift card offers like this.
That is amazing. I can't wait to hear what other deals they will offer with the back to school program. To bad the kids are just getting out of school. I was thinking about buying an iPad so I might just wait and then get a gift card too.
I love these programs which Apple periodically rolls out. I had bought my Mac as a part of a student discount program at a really affordable price. There was no other way I could have been able to afford one at that time.
